Elopement Package
Pick a location* to meet, fill out the paperwork, say the vows, and then it’s official!

A very brief “I do” vow ceremony at a location chosen by the couple* with two witnesses**, “Declaration of Marriage in the Province of Ontario,” and signing legal documents with a valid wedding license.
Intimate Package
Bring together your nearest and dearest for a customized celebration of your unique bond because it’s your day, your way!
Includes:
Initial consult meeting via phone, virtual or in-person
Enjoy a personalized ceremony at your chosen location* along with a valid marriage license and a minimum of two witnesses**.
Fully customized 30-minute wedding ceremony where you have the option to have your love story told.

Eloquent Package
Celebrate with all the bells and whistles of a large wedding party, which may require a rehearsal.

Fully customized 30-minute wedding ceremony where you have the option to have your love story told.
Feel fully prepared with a 1-hour rehearsal included during the week of your wedding, scheduled at a time and date chosen by the couple.
Have all your questions answered! You’ll have an unlimited amount of follow-up meetings by phone, text, email, or video chat to answer all of your questions and ease your mind.
Exceptional Package
Celebrate with all the bells and whistles of a large wedding party, which requires a rehearsal, but also allows you to have that special added touch.
Includes:
Initial consult meeting via phone, virtual or in-person
Enjoy a personalized ceremony at your chosen location* with a valid marriage license and a minimum of two witnesses**.
Fully customized 45-minute wedding ceremony. where you have the option to have your love story told.
Ensure your wedding is precisely how you have always dreamed it to be. This package allows you to have an additional theme.
Additional Special Ceremony Themes: Many choices are available, including ring warming, broom jumping, balloon release, and glass breaking. Travel expenses up to 150 km are included, allowing for a smoother day without extra costs.
Why should you have a rehearsal?
A rehearsal is best for weddings with three or more in your wedding party!
The rehearsal provides guidance throughout the process to ensure everyone is aware of their roles and responsibilities. This ensures your big day runs smoothly, helping prevent any unexpected surprises!
Conducting a practice run gives the officiant, couple, and wedding party a chance to align on every aspect of the ceremony. It also serves as a trial for audio and live video equipment, ensuring seamless execution on the wedding day.
Additionally, it offers an ideal opportunity to go over the procedures for signing the marriage register book, record of solemnization, and wedding license.
I may do up to 3 or 4 runs, which typically takes 35 to 60 minutes until everyone feels comfortable and all of their questions have been answered.

A Glance at Our Policies
Travel Fees
* A travel fee of $1.00 per KM may apply depending on the location of the wedding.
Witness Requirements
** Couples must supply their own witnesses. Witnesses must be 18+ years old.
Booking & Deposit Information
A 50% deposit is required at booking to secure your date. The deposit is payable by e-transfer.
Ceremony Start Time & Late Arrivals
Your booking reserves a specific time slot, and I may have another ceremony scheduled the same day, so I can only stay on-site for up to 1 hour beyond your scheduled start time.
I hope you’ll make every effort to begin on time. If the ceremony starts later than the agreed upon time, an additional fee of at least $50 may apply.
If You Need to Cancel
Life happens, and I understand plans can change. Here’s how cancellation affects your deposit:
- Cancel 6 or more months before your ceremony date – your deposit is fully refunded.
- Cancel less than 6 months before your ceremony date – your deposit is non-refundable.
In case of extenuating circumstances, I reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy at my discretion. Please reach out directly to discuss your situation.
If Teresa Needs to Cancel
In the unlikely event that I am unable to officiate your ceremony, Rooted Weddings will fully refund both your deposit and final balance.
